Sixth United States Army "Born of War" Dedicated 25 January 1993, 50th anniversary of the Sixth United States Army. Served in every American conflict since activation. This plaque marks the site of the Sixth United States Army Headquarters at the Presidio of San Francisco, where it proudly earned its title as "Guardian of the Golden Gate."
