This is the mother-church, the world-wide headquarters for the Christian Science Church. It is a Boston landmark. It is one big humdinger. The "Plaza" sits on 13.5 acres and the buildings compose about 3 acres of that space. The original church dates back to 1894 and the beautiful signature dome was erected in 1906.

The plaza is occupied by the church and the Mary Baker Eddy Library building, which is the headquarters for the church and where the Christian Science Monitor is published. The library is very nice and the Mapparium is located there. The Church is a very impressive building and has one of the largest pipe organs in the country.
