The final stop is at the Potts House where George Washington made his headquarters when camped at Valley Forge during the winter of 1777-78. George Washington’s Headquarters After you tour most of the sculptures, you’ll end up at George Washington’s Headquarters. There is plenty of parking and there are nice bathrooms too, so it makes for a perfect pit stop. Up by the parking lot and the bathrooms in a grassy knoll. This is where we chose to have our picnic lunch.
