A friend of mine is quitting Kroger in Tennessee and going to work for Publix. Does anyone know anything positive or negative about this employee owned Grocer? The department managers are paid very well $50-60,000 per year. Compared to Kroger at around $35,000. _____

publix eval pay raises dont keep up with inflation either. 3) Benefits - its great to have benefits but to have average benefits with low wages is not good for majority of the employees. The average deductible is $500. How can a full timer making only $2500/month can afford a $500 deductible? i didnt even mention the copay of 20% after that.

Ok, I work for Publix. For nearly 4 years. I am a hard worker. I've worked in five different stores, the store where I'm working at present is the best I've being with. My problem with Publix is most managers can be your best buddies but at the same time they are slowly twisting the knife in your back.
