As I got a swordsmiths guild in my citadel, I noticed that it game experience by +1 instead of improving the weapon. But then again +1 experience gives one +1 more to attack. Then I reached Master's swordsmiths guild and it gave +2 experience to my soldiers. I have not reached Swordsmiths guild headquarters yet and i've played for 118 turns, with cheats though.

So, after a few turns of only training sword units, you will get offered the minor chapter house. Also a side note, you can get minor chapter houses in any settlement. You can only have one major chapter house per guild per faction (unless you capture one), and there can only be one guild headquarters in the world. Hope this helps. tobymoby

Does recruiting zweihander wielding infantry increase the odds of this guild appearing? I know that recruiting sword wielding units increases the odds thus zweihanders should also increase odds since they are also "swords", just bigger. Any other way of luring swordsmiths to settlements other than recruiting sword users?

If I understand guild points correctly you will gain them for Swordsmiths by: building mustering hall chain (what allows you to train infantry) building blacksmith chain. training dismounted knights. retraining those knights and infantry. Surely there is no need for us swordsmiths to argue amongst ourselves, as we can just pretend the guilds have their headquarters in different towns and they are working together. Theologians guild - build church chain. Swordsmiths guild - build barracks and train dismounted knights.Merchant Guilds are actually earned by making merchants, building economic buildings, performing aquisitions (not sure on this one), and making trade agreements. Easiest guild to make, and one of the more useful ones.
